"Democratic candidates hoping to replace Republican Congresswoman Mimi Walters displayed a broad range of priorities at a forum Wednesday, but only subtle differences in proposed policies.
The district, which stretches from Laguna Hills to Anaheim Hills, is host to one of four Orange County races targeted by the national Democratic Party in its drive to flip the 24 GOP seats required to take control of the House.
Although Republicans have a 8-point advantage in voter registration, and Walters won reelection by 17 points in 2016, Donald Trump lost the district to Hillary Clinton by 5 points. It is the biggest challenge for Democrats among the four county races and one of the most difficult of the seats targeted nationwide."
